                                                     William Desmond

WILLIAM DESMOND is the David R. Cook Chair in Philosophy at Villanova University (USA). He is also an Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the Catholic University of Leuven (KULeuven, Belgium). He accumulates a series of former presidential posts, such as President of the Hegel Society of America (1990-1992) and of the Metaphysical Society of America (1995). Desmond has written extensively on ontology, metaphysics, aesthetics, ethics, and religion. Notable ideas: Metaxology, Intimate strangeness of Being, Intimate universal, Ethos, The Potencies of Being, The Senses of Being.

                                                      Rainer Guldin

                                                              Università della Svizzera Italiana (Switzerland)

RAINER GULDIN is a Professor of German Culture and Literature at the Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI, Lugano, Switzerland). He is a polyglot and prolific writer (speaks and writes fluently in German, Italian, French, English, Spanish and Portuguese). Research interests: Metaphor theory, history and theory of translation and multilingualism in literature and philosophy, language theory and history of the body. He is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed multilingual e-journal Flusser Studies, which has published 34 issues since 2005.

                                                           

                                                            Eva Batličková

                                                                   Masaryk University (Czech Republic)

 

EVA BATLIČKOVÁ earned her PhD. at the University of São Paulo (USP). She is currently teaching at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. Fields of interest include Contemporary Philosophy, Portuguese-language literature, and Jewish Studies. She communicates and writes in Czech, Portuguese and English. Recent books include: Saul de Vilém Flusser: Dialogo e Subversão (2019) e A Época Brasileira de Vilém Flusser (2010).

                                                       João Constâncio

                                                                     Nova University Lisbon (Portugal)

 

 

João Constâncio is a Full Professor of Philosophy at the Nova University of Lisbon, where he received his doctorate in 2005, with a dissertation on images and conceptions of human life in Plato, and where he has been teaching since 1996. He is the executive coordinator of the Department of Philosophy and the Director of IFILNOVA. Specialization: Nietzsche, Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art, History of Philosophy, Plato, Kant, Schopenhauer, Philosophy & Cinema, Ancient Philosophy.

                                                              Paulo Borges

                                                                       Lisbon University (Portugal)

 

 Paulo Borges is Professor at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Lisbon, and a researcher at the Centre for Philosophy at the same university. He teachers Philosophy of Religion, Eastern Though, Philosophy and Meditation, Philosophy and Literature, and Philosophical Anthropology. In addition, he investigates and publishes in the areas of Luso-Brazilian thought and culture, as well as Philosophy of Nature. Borges is a prolific writer, having authored a series of books on his teaching topics.
